Happy child at first dental visit

The Age One Visit

Start early for a lifetime of cavity-free smiles.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child visit a pediatric dentist by their first birthday or within six months of the eruption of their first tooth.

What to Expect

  • Knee-to-Knee Exam: For toddlers, we often perform the exam while they sit safely on your lap.
  • Gentle Cleaning: We gently clean the teeth and apply fluoride if necessary.
  • Education: We teach you how to care for your child's developing teeth and gums.
  • Fun Introduction: Your child gets to experience the "dental chair ride" and pick a toy from our treasure chest!

Why Start Early?

Early visits help detect early signs of decay, monitor growth and development, and most importantly, help your child build a trusting relationship with their dentist, preventing dental anxiety in the future.
